Sample: How a community meal night comes together
A sample post showing what a story looks like on the site. It walks through the steps of a typical meal night — replace it with a real update.
This is a sample story. It’s here so you can see how stories look on the website. Edit it or delete it once you have real news to share (see README → “Add a story”).
Before the doors open
Volunteers arrive early to set up tables, warm the food, and get the coffee going. A quick huddle covers who’s serving, who’s welcoming guests at the door, and who’s keeping the supply table stocked.
During the meal
Guests are served at the table, the same way you’d serve a friend. Volunteers sit and eat too when they can — the conversation matters as much as the food.
After
Everyone pitches in to clean up. Leftover supplies are counted and noted, so the next shopping list is ready.
Replace this sample with a short, real update — a volunteer’s reflection, a thank-you to a partner, or news about a program.
